Dolce Handknits is committed to bringing you well-written, error-free patterns, but mistakes do happen. If you believe you may have found an error, please e-mail us so that we can make the necessary corrections.

Earlier versions of the patterns listed here may need the following corrections. We hope you continue to enjoy Dolce Handknits patterns and apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

Madison| pattern no. 1007

When changing to the smaller needles the Back Bodice and Right Front Bodice instructions should read:

Next row (WS), change to smaller needles and beg with patt Row 12 (12, 12, 12, 6, 6, 12) work in alternating rib until back meas approx 16¼ (16½, 16¾, 17, 17¼, 17½, 17¾)” from beg, ending with closest patt Row 10 (10, 10, 10, 4, 4, 10).

Mabel | pattern no. 1009

In a very early version, the instructions for the Right-hand Side of the Upper are actually the instructions for the Left-hand Side of the Upper and vice versa. In other words, the subheadings should be switched. The instructions themselves are correct.

Also, for clarification, the WS of the slipper sole refers to the purl side of the fabric.

The Note before the Finishing section has been updated to read:

Note: The purled face of the sole is the bottom (outside of the slipper) while the knitted face of the upper is the top or visible, outside of slipper.

Fitzroy | Dolce Handknits – simple, sophisticated designs pages 66 – 69 of the book

The Right Front and Left Front charts on page 69 indicate that the 7-stitch repeat should be worked 0 (1, 0, 0, 0) times.

They should actually be worked 0 (0, 1, 1, 0) times.

The leaflet pattern for Fitzroy is correct.

St. Kilda | pattern no. 1104

The last sentence for both the Back and Front neck shaping and the last sentence for the Sleeves reads as foll:

Next row (WS), BO all sts knitwise, dec as foll: when next st to be worked is a knit st, BO as usual, when next st to be worked is a purl st, k2tog then BO.

They should read:

Next row (WS), BO all sts knitwise, dec as foll: BO across as usual, working a k2tog into each 2-st column of garter stitch.

Mystic | pattern no. 1003

The instructions for the second decrease row reads as foll:

Please note, the stitch counts are correct, but the k1 immediately before the first * is in error. The decrease row should read:

K2, k3tog, k1, yo, k1, yo, k3, yo, k1, yo, k4, SK2P, *k4tog, k1, yo, k1, yo, k3, yo, k1, yo, k4, SK2P*, k2 • 212 (228, 244, 260, 276, 292) sts.

Harmony | pattern no. 0902

The instructions for the left front neck shaping read:

…dec 2 sts for neck edge as foll: K1, yo, k2tog to last 3 sts, yo, k3tog.

Please note the final yo is in error. The neck shaping for the left front should read:

…dec 2 sts for neck edge as foll: K1, yo, k2tog to last 3 sts, k3tog.

Sausalito | pattern no. 0504 and Monterey | pattern no. 0503

These patterns are correct, but a few knitters have written regarding the Tiny Bowknot stitch. The stitch is on page 125 of B. Walker’s A 2nd Treasury of Knitting Patterns.

Note that the number of stitches remains constant on every row of this stitch pattern. When knitting into the stitch below on Rows 4 and 8, make sure to slip the stitch above along with the stitch just knitted off the left-hand needle to avoid increasing.
